Divergent #3

Where I left on, Beatriss joins the Dountless and changed her name to Triss, so she can become a new person with a new goal and have new friends. Triss met Cristina,  Alex, and Four, Peter. It has been difficult for her because this fraction was about strength and speed. Since she had none of that, she would have to train extra hard. They would have challenges, like fighting, throwing knives, parkour, and even using a gun.

The conflict is person vs. nature and person vs. society. Person vs. nature because Triss is fighting for survival and the strength she needs to succeed. Person vs. society because Triss fights for the fraction she chose and how she chose to live it without her parents and her brother.

Divergent #2

Where I left off, Beatriss goes to the Choosing Ceremony. Now it's her turn to chose which group she will be in for the rest of her future. On the front stage there are 5 big bowls that have different things inside that dedicates each faction. There is a knife and napkin on the table where you use your blood to chose the faction you want to be in. Beatriss name was called up and ready to chose a faction. She was shaking, thinking of which faction she had to chose. The crowd being quiet waiting for her to chose. Beatriss cuts herself on the palm of her hand with the knife and put her hand over the Abnegation bowl. Before her blood drips, she suddenly moved her hand to the next bowl and her blood drips to the Dauntless bowl. The Dauntless cheering her on, her parents disappointed. When the ceremony is over, Beatriss follows the Dountless group outside and sprints fast on the street like little children playing tag.

It's pretty depressing leaving your family to go to a different place with a completely different culture.  Then, you have to learn that culture by practicing. Then, eating completely different food and drinks, not know how to eat it. Then, your wondering how to make friends, will you be alone not seeing your family.

Divergent

The book I'm currently reading is Divergent. A 16 year old girl named Beatrice Prior who grew up as a Abnegation. She and her brother Caleb take a aptitude test that will help them have a suitable future ahead of them. There are five groups to chose from. Abnegation, people who help the poor and feed them. Amity, people who values peace. Candor, people who have the honesty to tell the truth. Erudite, people who are smart and have knowledge. Last but not least, Dauntless, the people who shows bravery and fearlessness. Beatrice takes the test and when finished she gets a test score of Abnegation, Dauntless, and Erudite. The test only gives you one group that suits you but, the test gave Beatrice three groups which only means Beatrice is a Divergent. Being a Divergent means serious risk of death. You can't tell nobody your test score, even if it's someone close to you.

Beatrice is brave because she has to keep her test score a absolute secret. The Erudite are hunting down people who are a Divergent, and killing them because they are dangerous. Which Beatrice is a Divergent and she has to survive no matter what obstacles she faces head on. Even if it's friends, families, loved ones. ( I didn't have much details since I just started the book a while back)

My Goals for 2015

 My Goals:

 Academic Goal:

- Have good grades for every class I have

To achieve my goal I need to do extra homework. I need to do better on my test if I scored poorly. I will see and ask my teacher if I need help or ask for extra homework. I will stay after school if I need to. I will redo homework that was late or that has been scored poorly. The most important is to not get my work late and check my work if it's completed.

Personal Goal:

-Raise money for a cat

To achieve my personal goal I would clean the whole house to make money. I would help my father on his job, like packing boxes for delivery. I would need to know how to befriend, feed ( know what type of food to give), clean litter box, and groom a cat.  I would even buy toys for the cat for entertainment and buy a small bed for the cat to sleep on. The most important is what type of breed of a cat and what type of personality of the cat I want to own.
